Long Farewell

Well I had not prepared for this

Never would have guessed

Everything seemed just right

You and I in the pale moonlight

While the world is spinning round

I can’t seem to touch the ground

This long farewell

A little house on Oakmont Drive

Everything looked so bright

Me in blue and you in red

I hung on every word you said

Where the bottom fell out I can’t remember

It doesn’t matter much to me now

Many years have passed me by

These four walls suit me fine

Nothing more nothing less

One days just like the rest

I still see your face at night

Though you long been out of sight

And I still hold some part of you

Deep inside what’s left of me
