I’m Getting off this Train

Everybody’s trying to be my friend

But I’m the loneliest man on earth

Policemen and housewives and hardware clerks

Have a name for me

I’m so misunderstood

Cause I often talk out loud

Mistrust and deceit

Follow me tonight

So I’m gettin’ off this train

This scene has got to change

Ya, I’m gettin’ off this train

And find a better place

Bad habits are hard to break

Good ones are even worse

When I lay my head down tonight

I’ll think of who I’ve hurt

And those that find their place

Are the luckiest ones of all

And to all the rest I wish the best

But me I’m walking alone

So if you see me in the street

If you see me in the mirror

Don’t turn away, it’s ok

I can’t be loved any worse
